Dozens of entries displaying hundreds of thousands of lights brightened the streets of central Phoenix on Saturday, Dec. 5, when the APS Electric Light Parade, presented by the Phoenix Parks and Recreation Department, returned for the 29th straight year.
Dan Spindle and Danielle Lerner from ABC15 Mornings hosted the event, and ABC15's Joe Ducey rode in the parade!
Entries for the 2015 parade interpreted the theme “Trim the Trees for the Holiday,” and Minnie Mouse, from the Disneyland® Resort, served as grand marshal.
In addition to entry fees and the title sponsorship of APS, the following partners and sponsors helped make this event possible: North Phoenix Baptist Church, Arizona Diamondbacks, Phoenix Suns, 99.9 KEZ, ABC15, UltraStar Multi-tainment Center, Michael A. Pollack Real Estate Investments, IBEW #387, Arizona 811, Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station, Keep Phoenix Beautiful, Arizona State University’s College of Public Programs, Phoenix VA Health Care System, Holiday Lights Decorating, Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, Republic Services, Classic Party Rentals, and United Rentals.
