Arizona Diamondbacks add 'bacon-wrapped, pretzel baguette' to concession stands

Posted

As America's favorite pastime continues to be baseball, so is its love obsession with redefining the concession stand.

And quite frankly, we're not complaining!

In 2014, the D-backs unveiled the 18-inch jalapeno-, bacon- and Cheddar cheese-stuffed corn dog.

The next year, the D-backs cured our sweet tooth with the Churro Dog.

The year after that, they blew our minds (and waistlines) with the 3,540-calorie Triple Play Sundae, and Cheeseburger Dog.

So, what should our stomachs prepare for this season?

On Monday, the D-backs gave us a digital taste...and it involves bacon!

The D-backs are calling it the Bacon-Wrapped Pretzel Baguette. It is a 12-inch pretzel baguette wrapped entirely in bacon strips and stuffed with Black Forest ham and Swiss cheese.

It comes with two sides of honey mustard and roasted jalapeno ranch for dipping. (Just brainstorming here, but cheese sounds like a good option, too!)

So, how much does it cost? $16.

The D-backs Opening Day game is Sunday, April 2 against the Giants.First pitch is at 1:10 p.m.
