Lou Malnati's is expanding with a plan to bring more pizza to Arizona.
The Chicago-based pizzeria is opening a second location near 56th Street and Indian School Road in Arcadia, the company announced in a news release on Tuesday.
Different from its restaurant at Phoenix's Uptown Plaza -- its first in Arizona -- the new one will not have dine-in service. Instead, it will focus entirely on carryout orders, pizza delivery, and catering.
It is slated to open in the fall.
The company will hire about 45 employees, according to a company spokesperson. Details of a hiring fair would be released at a later date, the spokesperson said.
Lou Malnati's expansion to Arizona was the pizzeria's first location outside of Chicago and Illinois. The eatery at Uptown Plaza opened on May 16, 2016.
Pizza delivery will be offered to those typically between three and five miles of the Arcadia location. However, specifics were still being determined, according to the restaurant.
Since Lou's opening, the Valley has seen an influx of Chicago-based restaurants, including Gino's East, Giordano's and, most recently, Elly's Brunch & Cafe.
