Year after year, Food Network's Guy Fieri has traveled the country featuring "swanky" restaurants on his show, Diners, Drive-ins and Dives. Guy has traveled to the Grand Canyon state a few times. We decided to check out all the Arizona restaurants featured on "Triple D." Check them out and, perhaps, plan your next road trip to the desert.John Lee
Aloha Kitchen, as one could guess from the name, is a Hawaiian restaurant in Mesa. But, what you may not know is that it's been in business in an unassuming strip mall for three decades. It's owned by Lynn Tso and her husband, Ray. Guy Fieri tried the Manapua, a barbecue-pork-filled bun, and the Kalbi, which are Korean-style short ribs. Wendy Garcia runs Cafe Tumerico, a vegan Mexican restaurant in Tucson that is a short drive south of Phoenix. Guy Fieri tried the Nopalitos tacos and the carne asada plate. Thee Pitts Again is a barbecue diner in Glendale, Arizona. Cheryl and Roger Wagner launched the business in 1979, according to their website. Guy Fieri and his Triple D team visited them in 2007. The Thumb (formerly Tom's Thumb) is another unique joint in Arizona that combines many concepts in one. Yes, in fact, those are gas tanks. On the outside, it's a gas station. Enter the front doors, and it becomes a convenience store, a boutique shop, a car wash and a BBQ restaurant.The Thumb

The Duce is a unique spot in downtown Phoenix's Warehouse District. In its heyday (the 1920s), it was a produce district near downtown's train depot. Today, owners Steve and Andi have resurrected the past and brought it into the present. Inside the warehouse, you'll find a wrestling ring, an old timey soda fountain, games, a vintage clothing shop, dance floor and trailer.The Duce

Since the show, chef Conley and Guy have worked together on several occasions, including most recently at Guy's Super Bowl party. Chef Conley has also appeared on "Guy's Grocery Games" (where he won $16,000 and donated it to Special Olympics). If you're from Arizona, chances are you've heard of Matt's Big Breakfast. When "Triple D" visited, Matt's was located in a small (very small) building near First Street and Filmore.
