Less than a year after opening in Tempe, The Halal Guys will open a second restaurant in the Valley.
Franchisee AJ Ahmad, an alum of Arizona State University, said the New York-based restaurant will open at the Silver Creek Plaza shopping center near 48th Street and Ray Road in Ahwatukee. It is anchored by target and Hobby Lobby.
It is scheduled to open on Saturday, Dec. 9 at 11 a.m. The first 50 people in line will receive a free combo meal a month for a year, the news release said.
In January, The Halal Guys brought Middle Eastern cuisine to Tempe. It opened at The Wedge near Rural Road and Lemon Street.
