Looking for some place new to grab a bite to eat?
Here’s a few restaurants that have recently fired up their kitchens around the Valley.
POMELO AT THE ORCHARD PHX (PHOENIX)
The Orchard PHX is a restaurant and marketplace in central Phoenix that was built on an old two-acre citrus nursery. Pomelo, an American-fare restaurant, opened last week. It serves “delicious, straightforward American food and drinks,” according to its website. The Orchard will also have an ice cream place and a specialty marketplace that is expected to open up later in May. Pictured above in the Ahi Tuna Salad.

THIRSTY LION GASTROPUB (GILBERT)
The Thirsty Lion Gastropub & Grill opened its third Valley location on May 3. It is located within the SanTan Village shopping center in Gilbert. It offers a European-American-infused menu and a variety of different beers on tap. Menu items include anything from burgers to salads to steaks to cheese-and-meat boards. They have two other locations in Tempe and Scottsdale. Pictured above is a Charcuterie board.

JACKIE’S CAFÉ (GILBERT)
Jackie’s Café opened its doors in April in a strip mall near Cooper and Guadalupe roads. Jackie moved to Arizona from the East Coast to open up a little café where the neighborhood was able to stop by and hang out, whether for breakfast or lunch, a meeting or simply to catch up with friends. The menu consists of breakfast omelets and quiche, wraps, sandwiches, salads and desserts. Pictured above is the interior of Jackie's Cafe.

POSTINO WINECAFE (SCOTTSDALE)
Postino Highland is the second Scottsdale location for the wine and bruschetta eatery. An old Valley National Bank branch was renovated for the ‘Highland’ location near Scottsdale Road and Highland Avenue. Make sure to check out the vintage matchbox wall. Pictured above is various bruschetta items.

55 CHICAGO (CHANDLER)
55 Chicago is one of the newest late-night eateries to open in downtown Chandler. The menu is described as “authentic Chicago vibe with a modern flair,” according to their Facebook page. They serve burgers, Paninis and various specialties. Embedded above is the "55 Burger."
