Owners of a vending machine business are caught taking thousands of dollars’ worth of products from Sam’s club which they used to stock their machines.
Gilbert Police report that for the past six months 47-year-old Donald Elvin Blackburn and 61-year-old Dana Lee Pearson, have been using stolen products to stock their vending machine business.
Police say they would use Sam's Club's 'scan and go APP.' to scan lesser priced items while removing higher priced items from the store. Police report the two have been doing this since October and amassed about $5,500 worth of products which they use to stock their vending machines.
Police report that both men have prior felony convictions and were arrested in separate locations on April 11. They have been charged with 60 counts of retail theft.
