A Guadalupe man has been arrested in connection with the alleged theft of vacuum cleaners from East Valley Target stores.
Daniel Armenta, 28, is accused in court documents of stealing nine Dyson vacuum cleaners from various Target stores in Chandler, Gilbert and Tempe.
Police said the thefts occurred between September 2015 and January 2016.
Documents say Armenta would arrive as a passenger in a Discount cab, enter the store and remove the attached security device from the vacuum before walking out and leaving in the cab.
Police used surveillance video to match Armenta with a photo they had from a prior arrest.
Armenta was arrested while allegedly in progress of stealing from a Tempe IKEA.
Police valued the total of the thefts at $2,700.
He's been charged with seven counts of organized retail theft.
