Three cities worked together to catch a Phoenix man suspected in several armed robberies in Glendale, Tempe and Phoenix.

Glendale Police say that on Feb. 28 around 6 a.m. an armed gunman robbed the Shell gas station near 67th Avenue and Bethany Home Road. Then again, the same man, robbed the same clerk, at the same Shell gas station on March 12.

Police put out a Valley-wide alert regarding the man's activities. Tempe and Phoenix police noted similarities in reporter robberies within their cities.

A fingerprint lifted from the scene of a robbery in Tempe matched 21-year-old Devante Irving Wong.

Witnesses also identified Wong as the suspect while detectives found social media postings showing Wong wearing similar clothing as described in the other incidents.

Wong was arrested on March 15 and booked into jail on three counts of armed robbery and two counts of burglary. Detectives are still looking into whether Wong is tied to other cases around Phoenix.
