A man caught sexually abusing a girl in her early teens, also admitted his involvement with other minors.
Mesa police report that on April 19 they arrested 18-year-old Collin Charles Burgheimer for having sexual contact with a 13-year-old girl.
He reportedly met the girl on Snapchat and was invited to her home, sneaking into her bedroom window. At one point the victim’s father knocked on the door, came into the room and found Burgheimer naked in the closet.
Burgheimer allegedly told the father that he was 16-years-old and the father allowed him to get dressed, but Burgheimer, "ran out of the bedroom window, leaving the scene."
In contacting police, it was learned Burgheimer was actually 18-years-old. Police say he was also listed as a suspect in a similar case where he had sexual contact with two 15-year-old girls.
Upon his arrest, Burgheimer allegedly admitted to police that he knew the girl was underage and also admitted to having sexual contact with the two 15-year-olds in the other case.
Burgheimer has been charged with sexual abuse and sexual conduct with a minor.
