A woman has been arrested for allegedly stealing several band instruments from two Peoria area high schools.
Peoria police report that 24-year-old Sierra Mia Urquijo stole multiple musical instruments from Centennial and Peoria high Schools since November of last year.
Police say she stole several flutes and a trumpet totaling over $2,000 in value.
Officers found some of the instruments at area pawn shops and were able to link Urquijo to the thefts from the pawn receipts. She was arrested in Peoria on August 17.
Urquijo works for a custodian company that contracts with the schools. She has been charged with multiple counts of trafficking in stolen property.
