A Phoenix grandfather has been accused of downloading and storing child pornography videos for over 20 years.
Court records show that on February 27, police served a search warrant at a home near 20th Street and Camelback Road where they reportedly found "thousands of videos depicting sexual exploitation of minors."
Police say an Internet Crimes Task Force found downloads linked to a computer owned by 54-year-old Kevin David Karr.
Investigators say they found child pornography videos on computers and removable storage media found in Karr's bedroom.
Karr allegedly admitted to police that he has been downloading and viewing child porn since 1994 and has an extensive collection of these videos.
Karr also told police that he is the grandfather to 14 children, ranging in age from infants to teens. He also allegedly admitted to being accused of sexual abuse by a family member in the past, as he has babysat for long periods of time.
Karr has been charged with multiple counts of sexual exploitation of a minor.
