When an 80-something-year-old tortoise poses for a selfie, you just have to smile.
Ali, a 600-pound Aldabra tortoise, was being examined by Dr. Gary West, executive vice president of animal health and collections of the Phoenix Zoo, when he became curious of West's phone.
West was checking to see how often Ali was hiccuping.
"He approached me with curiosity and seemed to look at himself in the phone when I held it out in front of us, so I snapped a picture," said West in a statement released by the zoo.
The zoo released the photo on Wednesday.
