A driver is dead after his pickup truck rolled multiple times near Saguaro Lake Wednesday morning.
Authorities say 34-year-old Wilver Verdugo was driving southbound on Bush Highway when his vehicle went off the road. The man "over-corrected," causing his truck to roll over several times before it caught fire.
Verdugo was ejected from his car and died at the scene, officials said.
It's unknown if impairment was involved in the crash, but according to authorities, it's believed speed was a factor. Additionally, at the time of the accident Wilver was not wearing a seatbelt during the accident.
Bush Highway was closed for several hours between State Route 87 and Saguaro Lake. It reopened around noon.
