Northbound lanes of Loop 101 in Tempe have reopened after a deadly motorcycle crash overnight.
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the crash occurred near the US-60 before 3 a.m. Monday.
Information from the scene suggests a motorcyclist and a vehicle collided, killing the motorcyclist.
DPS has identified the motorcyclist as 21-year-old Michael Anthony Maffei of Fountain Hills.
No impairment is suspected in the crash at this point.
The Arizona Department of Transportation says all northbound traffic was routed onto US-60 for some time. The freeway reopened around 5:20 a.m. Check current traffic conditions here.
