Maricopa police are looking for a missing woman who was last seen early last week.

Family says 24-year-old Angela Russo was last seen around 6 p.m. on April 19 at her home in Maricopa.

Her mother later got a text from her daughter that she was having dinner with friends that evening and an update a few hours later that she would be home in the morning.

"I don’t think she ever went to dinner with friends, I think she had dinner with someone else and I think they have her," said Diana Shallow, Angela’s mom.

She says Angela had recently started online dating, though she didn’t share all the details with her parents.

Police did get two pings on her cell phone the last times it was used in the West Valley near 51st Avenue and Indian School Road.

Shallow says they’ve learned a call was made to a number they are still trying to place, followed by a two-minute phone call to a Pizza Hut on 43rd Avenue and McDowell, though no order was placed.

Her mother fears something sinister may have happened on the date or as she was heading there.

"I can only imagine what she's going through, every day and I just pray and ask for prayers that she comes back to us safe," said her mother, through tears.

Angela is driving a blue 2007 Honda Accord with Arizona license plate "BNL1629" that is also still missing.

Russo is described as 5 feet, 3 inches tall and 150 pounds. Her brown hair has burgundy highlights and she has blue eyes.

She has several tattoos, including wings on her wrists, a tree with Winnie the Pooh characters on her shoulder and the word 'promise' on her ring finger, according to family members.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Maricopa Police Department at 520-568-3673 or through the department's anonymous tip line, 520-316-6900.
