Officials are investigating a death at Skydive Phoenix in Maricopa.
The incident happened on Sunday afternoon, west of the City of Maricopa.
The Pinal County Sheriff's Office said a 61-year-old man had a "hard landing" near the drop zone.
According to PCSO, the man was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The FAA is investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
ABC15 reached out to Skydive Phoenix but they had “no comment” at the time.
