A 14-year-old girl was flown to Phoenix Children's Hospital Thursday night after a horse fell on the teen in Tonopah.
Maricopa County Sheriff's Office spokesman Joaquin Enriquez confirmed emergency crews were sent to the scene near 479th Avenue and Van Buren around 6 p.m.
The teen told authorities the horse got spooked by a car and fell on top of her.
Fire crews said the teen suffered non-life threatening injuries and is expected to be okay.
Tonopah firefighters said its a good reminder for people to cautious while driving near horses.
