Kelly Elphinstone says she has nothing to say to the driver who ran over her son.
"He don't get nothing from me. They are gonna feel it long before they hear it," said Elphinstone.
Elphinstone's son Tyler is in the hospital after being struck by a hit-and-run driver Saturday morning in Black Canyon City.
Deputies say Tyler Elphinstone was walking up to a friend’s car when he was hit by from behind by a car headed west near Indian Hills and Inca Drive.
Officials say the driver briefly stopped to say he was calling 911, but then just drove off without calling for help.
Witnesses who saw what happened rushed Elphinstone to a nearby hospital where he is being treated for a concussion and a broken pelvis.
Because of the location deputies weren't told what happened until they were alerted by hospital staff two hours after the incident.
"He got everything going for him in life. He got the house. He got the job. He got the girl. And then he got hit," said Kelly Elphinstone.
Yavapai County deputies say the suspect was driving a silver late model vehicle. He is described as being heavy set, in his 20's or 30's with short brown hair.
