A worker hit during the overnight hours Sunday into Monday has died from their injuries.
DPS spokesman Raul Garcia announced the news Monday night. The employee was working on a barricade on the Loop 101 near 90th Street.
The worker was reopening the Loop 101 near 90th Street in Scottsdale after night-time construction. A vehicle hit the worker around 3 a.m., sending them to the hospital where they later died.
Southbound Loop 101 was closed at 90th Street, but reopened around 6:30 a.m., according to DPS.
