Scottsdale paramedics took a 6-year-old boy to a hospital after the child was pulled from an apartment complex pool on Saturday.
Officials were called out to original reports of a drowning just before 11 a.m. near Thompson Peak Parkway and Scottsdale Road. According to officials, the boy was swimming in the pool and at some point became unconscious underwater.
Authorities say the child was pulled from the water and CPR was initiated.
According to the Scottsdale Police Department, the child was taken to the hospital in serious, but stable, condition. Police said the incident appeared to be a tragic accident and no criminal charges are anticipated.
