According to a Scottsdale police spokesperson, an officer was involved in a shooting at Chaparral Park near Chaparral and Hayden roads around 8 p.m. Sunday night.
The shooting stemmed from a car jacking incident, authorities said.
The suspect allegedly fled the scene leading to a car chase with police officers, officials said. One crash occurred during the pursuit which ended shortly after near College Avenue and McKellips Road.
One suspect is in custody and there are no additional outstanding suspects, police said.
No one was shot during the incident, but the suspect suffered minor injuries.
At least one officer fired his or her gun, a police spokesperson said.
