A vehicle fire that spread to the surrounding land off of Interstate 17 north of the Valley Tuesday has been contained.
The Bureau of Land Management says the Sunset Fire, as it is being called, ignited near mile marker 248, which is between Black Canyon City and Bumble Bee.
Firefighters said the flames burned 52 acres before the fire was 100 percent contained.
Six fire engines, along with a helicopter and air attack plane, initially responded to the scene. Authorities also placed an order for additional air resources.
