Phoenix Fire: 5 people injured after accident pushes car into bus stop

Multiple people are injured after an accident caused one car to crash into a bus stop in Ahwatukee.

The Phoenix Fire Department received reports Sunday afternoon after two cars were involved in a crash near 44th Street and Chandler Boulevard.

According to a fire spokesperson, one of the cars involved in the accident was pushed into a bus stop and two pedestrians were hit.

Five people were injured during the incident and four people are hospitalized, a fire spokesperson said. A 34-year-old woman and a 40-year-old man are in serious, but stable condition. A 66-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman are also being treated for minor injuries.

No additional information has been released.
