A northern Arizona pharmacist is accused of stealing more than 3,000 prescription medicines, including dangerous narcotic drugs.
Attorney General Mark Brnovich said Bailey Marie McComb has been indicted on 14 felony counts, including fraud and drug charges, in connection with the theft.
McComb is accused of taking thousands of doses of oxycodone, hydrocodone, and amphetamine salts while working as a pharmacist at a Show Low Safeway.
The pharmacy reportedly noticed massive inventory losses in March 2015. Safeway reviewed prescriptions and surveillance video that indicated McComb was creating patient profiles and dispensing medications after store hours.
Pharmacist intern Brian Timothy Ellis Witmer was also charged with several drug-related offenses in the indictment.
