PHOENIX — A car crashed into a home, causing a large fire in Phoenix overnight.
Phoenix firefighters were called to the home near 16th Street and Southern Avenue Wednesday night after receiving reports of a crash.
Responding crews found a vehicle that had driven into the back of the home, as well as a large amount of smoke and fire coming from the crash site.
Fire crews were able to stop the fire from spreading further, but the home was damaged enough to displace the resident, Phoenix Fire Department says.
There is no word on whether the driver was injured in the crash or what led to the incident. Fire officials say the resident and firefighters were not hurt.
Phoenix police are said to be investigating the collision.
