Just another day in Arizona…
An emu was seen running on Interstate 10, west of Phoenix on Friday morning.
The Arizona Department of Public Safety said a trooper responded to the area of Interstate 10 and milepost 64 after receiving a report of an emu on the loose.
A trooper arrived on the scene and found the emu in the median. The emu was able to cross the interstate safely and onto a dirt shoulder.

According to DPS, a second trooper arrived on the scene and they were able to keep the Emu on the side of the freeway.
DPS said an Arizona Department of Agriculture officer was able to lasso the animal and get it into a trailer.
It is unclear how the emu got onto the freeway in the first place.
