Three people had to be rescued at Camelback Mountain on Monday afternoon, including a 12-year-old child.
The Phoenix Fire Department said crews responded to the Echo Canyon Trail for reports of a woman who was having heat related issues while hiking.
The woman was hiking with another adult and a 12-year-old boy. All had been on the mountain since 7 a.m.
Crews walked down the two adults after cooling them down; the boy was airlifted off of the mountain.
All three hikers were listed in stable condition and were suffering from heat-related illnesses, officials said.
