Police say a 38-year-old man is in custody for allegedly stabbing and killing a man on a Phoenix light rail platform on Saturday.

Barry Lee Morris Jr. faces a murder charge in connection with the crime.

According to the Phoenix Police Department, a fight occurred before 9 p.m. at the 19th and Dunlap avenues platform.

Police say Morris stabbed a 40-year-old man after they were involved in an argument. Morris then fled the area.

The victim was taken to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead, police said.

On Monday, police developed probable cause to arrest and book Morris into jail on a count of second degree-murder.
