A firefighter was treated for heat exhaustion after battling a second-alarm fire that broke out at a Phoenix strip mall Wednesday.
About 40 firefighters responded to the blaze near 32nd and Oak streets around 12:30 p.m. Thursday.
According to a fire spokesperson, the flames first sparked in a shed and spread to a commercial building nearby. Four businesses were reportedly destroyed in the fire.

The fire quickly moved through the attic of the structure, and officials say five homes were in danger of being burned as well.
Fire crews cleared the building of people, and no other injuries were reported, a fire spokesperson said.
The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
Fire officials say the firefighter treated for heat exhaustion was transported to a nearby hospital in stable condition but has since been released.
