Officials say more than a dozen people have been displaced after a fire Saturday afternoon.

According to the Phoenix Fire Department, units responded to an apartment complex near 48th Street and McDowell Road just after 2 p.m.

Authorities say the fire was contained to one unit, though two others have smoke and structural damage due to firefighting efforts and another has water damage that seeped down from the unit above.

A total of 17 people will have to be outside their homes, according to a fire department spokesman.

There were no reported injuries as a result of the fire.
