A months-old pup is fighting to survive after suffering a massive skull fracture.

The Maricopa County Animal Care and Control said the 2-month-old husky puppy was brought to their shelter on Friday with a bashed in skull. He was also unconscious and comatose.

According to MCACC, the people who surrendered the pup give false information.

The dog is now recovering at Phoenix Dog/Cat/Bird Hospital and is expected to recover. MCACC says they’re hoping to eventually find him a loving home.

Authorities believe his injuries were human-caused and now officers are working to find the people responsible for his abuse. Anyone with information about the dog or his previous owners is urged to call the Phoenix Police Department.
