PHOENIX — Phoenix firefighters fought a large blaze at an apartment complex early Friday morning.
The second-alarm fire broke out near 19th Avenue and Indian School Road after 3 a.m.
Phoenix Fire Department has not yet provided information on what caused the fire, but officials say when they arrived, they discovered a working fire on the second level. The blaze moved to the third floor and impacted multiple units.
Fortunately, firefighters got the fire under control around 4:30 a.m.
Crisis responders and the Red Cross are working with upwards of 100 residents who are displaced or evacuated. Six units were damaged by the blaze.
Crews worked quickly to evacuate all of the residents and there are no reports of any injuries.
