A man suspected in four of the freeway shootings that rattled the Phoenix area since August will be arraigned on felony charges.
Leslie Allen Merritt Jr. is expected to enter a plea in Maricopa County Superior Court on Thursday on 15 felony charges, including aggravated assault and carrying out a drive-by shooting.

The 21-year-old Glendale man was arrested Sept. 18 at a Wal-Mart.
Investigators say ballistics tests link him to four of 11 shootings that occurred on Phoenix-area freeways between Aug. 22 and Sept. 10.

Authorities say eight cars were struck with bullets and three with projectiles such as BBs or pellets while driving on Interstate 10.
The investigation into the other incidents remains open.
State police say copycats may be shooting guns or other weapons on freeways.
