Fire officials are investigating a massive overnight blaze that took over a 60,000-square foot cabinet shop in downtown Phoenix.
The fire started at around 1:30 a.m. near Central Avenue and Interstate 17. Because of its size and proximity to homes, nearly 80 firefighters were on scene to battle it.
"The extent of the fire was so intense that we couldn't send crews inside," Fire Captian Jake Van Hook said. "So all the work is being done from the exterior."
People nearby stopped in disbelief, watching the building burn.
"This area is huge, this building is huge," one witness said. "To see it all burn down, it's really crazy."
No one was hurt, and investigators are still working to find out the cause of the fire.
