Ofc. Glasser's wife pens letter to the community

The wife of Phoenix police officer David Glasser has penned a letter to the community thanking them for all of the support since her husband was killed in the line of duty.

"My kids and I lost our most favorite person," wrote Kristen Glasser. "David was an incredible husband and father, and the pain we are feeling is indescribable. However, the love and support we've received eases a little of that pain -- so thank you."

Officer Glasser was gravely wounded on May 18 after being shot by a burglary suspect. He was taken to the hospital and died the following day. The suspect was shot and killed by officers at the scene.

Family, friends and co-workers gathered Wednesday night for a private visitation.

On Thursday,Officer Glasser will be laid to rest.
