The City of Phoenix is launching a new initiative to crack down on homeless encampments.
On Monday morning, city leaders will unveil PHX C.A.R.E.S., a new program that will help those living on the streets.
All citizen complaints regarding homelessness will be funneled through one phone number, and also online. From there, an outreach team will be sent out to the encampment area to help those individuals, get them in shelters, medical help, etc.
If needed, Phoenix Police will also assist. Another team will go in after to clean-up the area.
