A Phoenix police officer is under investigation for starting a wildfire last month.
Multiple sources tell ABC15 the officer was cited for starting the Cleator fire, near Crown King in April.
The Cleator fire grew to 141 acres and was contained within a few days.
Sources say the officer was with his family and firing tracer rounds when the fire started.
ABC15 is not releasing the officer's name until the fire investigation and internal investigation is complete.
Phoenix police say the officer has been with the department for 9 years.
He is currently assigned to a non-enforcement position.
