Baby left unattended in tub taken to hospital

A 5-month-old baby girl was taken to a hospital after the child was left unattended in a bathtub. 

According to the Phoenix Fire Department, the baby was crying when rescue crews arrived to an apartment complex near 23rd Avenue and Camelback Road.

The infant was taken in stable condition to a hospital. 

The Phoenix Police Department said the baby will remain in a hospital overnight as a precautionary measure. They said detective will investigate the incident to check for any indications of a crime, which is a normal protocol.
