Firefighters worked quickly to save belongings from a fire that started in a moving truck overnight in North Phoenix.

The incident happened shortly after 1 a.m. on Thursday in the area of I-17 and 7th Street.

A Phoenix fire official says when fire crews got on scene, there was an obvious working fire in the moving trailer. Fire crews worked quickly to put the fire out and remove as many items from the trailer to minimize damage to the owners' belongings.

A worker with the moving company said they picked up one load in Las Vegas and two in Arizona and were stopping for the night.

Officials said the cause of the fire is under investigation but it could have been something like an electrical fire, something combustible in the packed contents, or a lithium battery that overheated.
