Authorities are investigating after a body was found at the scene of an apartment fire.
The Phoenix Police Department said officers have been called to help arson investigators after a body was found near 43rd Avenue and Thunderbird early Saturday morning.
Firefighters were called to the complex around 2 a.m. for a reported active fire.
An autopsy will determine how the person found died, police said. A fire department spokesman said the person who died was an adult male, but declined to provide further details, citing the ongoing investigation.
