A 32-year-old man is in custody for allegedly threatening a Phoenix Waste Management facility on multiple occasions.

Phoenix police say they arrested Jarrell Stephens last week for posting a threat online that reportedly targeted employees at the business.

On the same day the threat was posted online, officers received a 911 call for a report of shots fired at the facility but police were not able to locate any damage or witnesses who heard the shots.

The following day, officers located Stephens and arrested him on multiple charges including creating a hoax, threats, computer tampering, and harassment.

He was also charged with interfering with judicial proceedings in an unrelated incident.

Back in March, officers responded to the same facility located near Interstate 17 and Bell Road, to investigate reports of threats made against the business from a social media account that threatened a mass shooting.

Police investigators along with the FBI worked to investigate the incident.
