PHOENIX — Authorities are investigating after a body was found in a wash near 43rd Avenue and Union Hills.

Phoenix police say officers were called around 9:30 a.m. Monday after workers cleaning up in the area noticed the body.

The victim appears to be an adult male, police said. However, investigators say the body was in such an advanced state of decomposition that any obvious signs that would indicate a cause of death are not present.

Anyone with information is asked to call Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS or 480-TESTIGO. Callers providing information which leads to an arrest may be eligible for up to $1,000.
