PHOENIX — A fire that broke out at a Phoenix home early Saturday morning has left one person dead, according to fire officials.
Around 7:30 a.m. Saturday, members of the Phoenix Fire Department responded to a house fire near 15th Avenue and Broadway in Phoenix.
Information coming from the scene of the fire is vague, as officials are working to determine what caused the fire.
However, they were able to determine an elderly woman, whose age is currently unknown, was killed in the blaze.
The Phoenix home was completely destroyed, according to fire officials.
It is unclear if anyone else lived in the home or how many people will be displaced due to the deadly fire.
At this time, it is unclear if the home was equipped with working smoke detectors.
