An investigation is underway after a 57-year-old man was struck and killed by a vehicle in south Phoenix on Saturday night.
According to the Phoenix Police Department, around 6 p.m. Eduardo Catano was struck by a vehicle while he was trying to cross 7th Avenue on foot, just north of the crosswalk at Broadway Road.
Police say Catano was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver remained on scene and did not show any signs of impairment.
