A suspect is in custody after multiple carjackings and an officer-involved shooting in Phoenix on Saturday morning.
According to the Tempe Police Department, officers responded to a reported carjacking near Interstate 10 and Baseline Road.
Tempe police say the vehicle fled into Phoenix, at which point Phoenix police located and pursued the vehicle.
The suspect then reportedly carjacked a second vehicle at gunpoint near 16th Street and Southern Avenue.
Near Interstate 17 and 7th Street, the suspect reportedly bailed out of the vehicle and tried to take another vehicle at gunpoint but was unsuccessful.
Police say the suspect met up with another vehicle and driver in the area. The driver then took the suspect to a house near 7th Street and Broadway Road.
The suspect reportedly fired shots at officers prior to barricading himself inside the home.
As police arrived, all the occupants of the home, including the suspect, exited the home. The suspect was taken into custody without incident, according to police.
The suspect was not shot or hurt, no officers fired their weapons during the incident.
Police say the suspect is expected to face multiple felony charges.
The victim in the Tempe carjacking was taken to the hospital after suffering bumps and bruises.
