A contractor with the Arizona Department of Transportation found what officials say appears to be a gun alongside a Valley freeway.
According to the Department of Public Safety, an ADOT employee was picking up litter along Interstate 10 and 59th Avenue on Thursday morning when the object was found.
ABC15 asked DPS to verify if the object found was a gun, but they would not elaborate. According to an update from DPS Thursday afternoon, the object was reportedly sent to investigators.
No other information has been made available regarding this incident.
