PHOENIX — Dozens of firefighters were called to Cactus Container in west Phoenix to battle a large fire.
Officials with the Phoenix Fire Department say it sparked at the cardboard box and paper distribution site near 43rd Avenue and Van Buren Street.
The facility stores lots of recycled paper which caused the fire to spread quickly.
Crews went into defense mode and battled the flames from outside of the facility by putting water on the main body of the fire while also protecting surrounding structures and businesses.
Phoenix Fire says open areas where the paper products were being stored caught fire as well as some of the building.
Nobody has been reported injured.
It's unclear what may have sparked the flames.
An investigation will be conducted once the fire is completely out.
