An investigation is underway after a man was shot during a robbery in Phoenix early Saturday morning.
According to the Phoenix Police Department, around 2:15 a.m. a man and woman were walking in an area of Interstate 17 and Coolidge Street when two men tried to rob them.
Police say the suspects shot the male victim as he ran away.
The two men made off with the woman's purse and fled in a white vehicle.
The victim was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
