Flowers and candles still line the sidewalk at Greenway Road and the I-17. More than a week after a fiery crash claimed three lives.

"It was devastating news. I couldn't even imagine it," said Marie Castro as she described the night that claimed the life of her grand-daughter and seriously injured another one.

In all, three people were killed, and four others were injured. Right now, police say the 14-year-old who stole the SUV that crashed, could face first degree murder charges.

Among the victims was 12-year-old Ariel, who lost her life. Her 16-year-old sister, Estrella, is currently in the ICU.

Estrella's family said she's showing some signs of progress, but doctors aren't sure exactly how much she'll progress.

Her family told ABC15 it's been the hardest for the girl's mom.

"To see her in this kind of pain is really hurting my soul," said Nicole Castro, whose older sister is the girl's mom. "I just want to make it better for her."

Right now, the family is doing all they can to raise money for funeral and medical expenses.
